Media and Events

Some details and links to events and media we have been involved with.

Frankenbiking Tall Bike Film

We had the absolute privilege to get involved with Swamp Films and their making of the Frankenbiking Film. A small document film on a window into tall biking. It gave us the opportunity to make some new friends, ride some bikes, see behind the lens of film making and be part of this whole experience. The film has done amazingly well in film festivals and will eventually be out on general release. It debuted in the Kendal Mountain Film Festival so it was great to be able to that too.

This continuing in 2025 as it’s part of the @cyclistfilmfestival_uk where we hope to doing a ride or two to support the festival.

Brazin Handmade Show 2024

I love heading north whenever the chance is available so the opportunity to go to the Brazin Handmade Bike show in 24 was very welcome. It had been a hard few months so a nice chance to travel, chill out and chew the fat with some like minded folks in Glasgow.

It also gave me all the excuse I needed for building my own Giraffe Bike

Foundation Bike Fit gathering

It’s always nice to go and hang out at the Olympic velodrome and especially with our friends at @FDN_bikefit. They had an open day an invited a few folks along to create a mini show. We lugged a few bikes up there to show and show some of the variety available.

Slow Spin Society
Sam’s race bike got a nice write up on the Slow Spin Society website.

Bikepacking.com

After building a tall bike for Bikepacking.com’s Cass Gilbert he wrote up and article of the experience and some riding we did afterwards. Was an amazing experience and I was more than grateful to end up on Bikepacking.com website.

Cass also wrote an article on my original On-One based tallbike

Cranked Magazine

As part of the ride and campout fun with Cass and article also made its way into the sadly departed Cranked Magazine which included some of Cass’ excellent photos.

Tall Bike art work

The shenanigans with Cass led to a couple of pieces and amazing art work being created by @littlejamesarnold and @gosia_black.edge

Motherload Film

As a builder and big advocate of cargo bikes and back in the days when Look Mum No Hands was going strong we put on a showing of the Motherload film. It was a great evening with like minded cargo bike fans and I managed to get a bike in the window of the shop for a while before the film showing. Such a shame they closed after Covid.
